The ruins of the XIVth century castle on the shore of the Czorsztyn Lake provides a spectacular view of the Tatra Mountains and surrounding area.
Niedzica Castle
The castle on the other bank of Czorsztyn Lake is well preserved. Built in 1325 to protect a trade route it now has a museum, guest rooms and a restaurant.
Mountaineer’s Hut
The hut is open for visitors from May until October and tourists are welcome to try the local oscypki cheese made from sheep’s milk.
Churches
UNESCO has placed the wooden church in Dębno on its World Heritage List. It was erected in the XIVth centrury and no nails were used in its construction. In the nearby villages of Grywałd, Sromowce Niżne and Krościenko there are also churches from the XIVth and XVth centuries which are worth visiting.
